    Maesteg is a town in Bridgend, Glamorgan. It is situated to the northern end of Llynfi Valleyin the Welsh county. The population of this town is around some 17,830-19,223 people, with the surrounding area bringing the population to around 25,000 and thus is the 17th largest centre of population in Wales. It was built in 19th century. It was a coal mining town formerly but now is well known for cosmetics and clothing.

    Formerly Maesteg was home to six collieries. It has three railway stations and they are Maesteg, Maesteg Ewenny Road and Garth. It also boasts of a bus station. Recently there is a lot of regeneration going on in this place.
