My cat did that to. It started right before she went in heat, then she got a ut infection. Some cats will do that if there is an unfixed male close in the house or neighborhood.sometimes its a behavioral thing, which means its just something that cat does. Sometimes if they are not fixed and you get them fixed they will quit spraying but not always. Good luck
