How Do Crocodiles Lay Eggs?

My sister asked me this question for school. She's in kindergarten, and she really wants to know the answer. Please help?!?!? Thanks!

    A female crocodile lays eggs in the sand or under rotten leaves. Other crocodiles and animals do like to eat eggs so female crocodile covers the eggs properly to save them. The yapping sound from inside the egg tells if the baby is ready to hatch.
