No one nose (sorry for the bad joke, i had to) for sure. Its accredited to simple erosion from sand storms and wind. The rest of the Sphinx isn't in great shape either and the heavy piece probably just fell off and/or wore away.

Ersoin though some scientist believe that it might have been pryed off because of the marks and tool scraping marks were the nose should be
