That sock could cause an intestinal blockage that could kill him. You should have taken him to the vet right a way before it enters his intestines. They could remove easier from his stomach.

You should give a lot of water to your puppy. It will make the sock digestible and broken down to pieces. It won't hurt him much but if you see a problem, see a vet.
