How Long After A Dog Gets Parvo Do They Live?

Parvo is a infection in dogs especially in puppies caused by a contagious virus called parvo virus. This virus is deadly and can attack intestine, lymphoid tissues and bone marrow of the affected dogs. Symptoms of parvo in dogs are

1. Diarrhea that can be bloody
2. Dehydration
3. Vomiting

There are no medicines available to kill parvo virus. Aim of the treatment is to treat symptoms and avoid dehydration. So, first 48 hours are very important after attack of parvo. Sever cases need hospitalization because can not be managed at home. If affected dogs survive for the first 48 hours and get treatment from the vet then they can live their life. Otherwise, majority of the affected dogs die within 48 hours if not treated by vets.
