In the middle of every atom is a "nucleus". Nucleus contains two kinds of particles namely, protons and neutrons. Around the nucleus there is another orbit of particles known as electrons. There are different kinds of atoms and all the 115 atoms are different from each other. All have different number of protons, electrons and neutrons.
The model of an atom is similar to that of a solar system. Like the sun in the solar system, nuclear is also in the centre of the atom. The electrons circle around the nucleus. Like the sun in the solar system, the nucleus is also in the centre and comparatively large.
The atom is majorly an empty space and the electrons are very far from the centre i.e. the nucleus. An atom can be used to understand static electricity.
