I Want To Adopt A Toy Poodle In Oklahoma And I Live In VA. Can He Be Safety Sent On An Airline?

Puppies travel via the airlines regularly.  It is common for breeders to ship their puppies out of state between 2-4 months of age or older.  He sounds like a small breed puppy and since he weighs only 4 pounds he may do better riding in the cabin then down in the cargo hold--my main concern is he may get too cold.  Contact your breeder with these questions.  Also you can call the airline to see what the temperature is maintained at in the cargo hold. 
The airlines require dogs to be examined before flying to ensure that they are healthy enough to make the trip.  A health certificate will be filled out by the veterinarian with specific temperatures he can withstand.  He should also be up to date on his vaccines before traveling.
