It's smelly and unpleasant for all around, but there is a good reason why we get body odour. In order for us to function properly we need to maintain a temperature of around 36 ~ 37 degrees centigrade. To keep in this range we are equipped with 2.5 million sweat glands. These act like tiny air-conditioning units which are dotted all over the skin. When we get hot they keep us cool by secreting a cooling fluid to moisten the skin. As the sweat evaporates, the skin cools down.
Sweat is fine when it is fresh because fresh sweat doesn't have any odour. However, after a few hours the bacteria that is in this fluid begins to break down. When this happens it produces a bad odour known as BO.
Thankfully there is a cure for BO and that is to keep clean by washing everyday ~ particularly in the areas that sweat, such as under the arms. Deodorants and antiperspirants are products that will combat body odour. Deodorants allow you to sweat but destroy the bacteria which causes body odour. Antiperspirants block the pores, so stopping the sweat escaping your body.
Our sweat is very clean when it comes out of our body. When it mixes with the bacteria on our skin it stinks.Cleanliness is the key to control.
Deodorant covers the odor. Antiperspirants prevent the much needed act of sweating, the bodies way to keep cool. Also clothing needs to be washed properly and should be cotton in warm climates. If you sweat a great deal you might want to wash and reapply deodorant to your smelly areas inbetween your daily shower or bath as needed.
Change undergarments more than once a day as well as needed. I use 70% rubbing alcohol about a buck a bottle on a cottonball or one of those square cotton pads each day. I wash my pits before I shower and after I shower with alcohol. It really helps alot . I also run one across the bottom of each foot as well before and after showering.
