    Steve Jones is a famous British musician who plays the guitar and is an occasional vocalist; Jones is best known for his role as the lead guitarist of the punk rock band Sex Pistols that was a rage in the late seventies. Jones began his career with the Sex Pistols in 1975 and was one of its founding members.

    The group was credited with popularizing the concept of punk rock in the UK and Jones with his distinct style of playing which he said was influenced by Johnny Thunders of the New York Dolls fame, became one of the highlights of the group.

    The group disbanded in 1978 with Jones being a part of several bands like The Professionals and Chequered Past; he also played along with Thin Lizzy, Joan Jett, Iggy Pop, Andy Taylor, Neurotic Outsiders and the Insane Clown Posse. He also went solo for a brief period in the late 80s and early 90s. In recent times Jones has been in the news as the host of Jonesy's Jukebox a radio program in Los Angeles on Indie 103.1.
