Most wireless routers also have RJ45 ports for wired access. Can you not run cat5 to the second computer?

It is possible to share an internet connection from one computer to another but the two computers still have to communicate with each other. If you wire into the router each will have its own connection; one wried and one wireless.

If there are no ports on the router then go to the computer with the wireless connection and Right click on Network Connections, select properties, right click on Wireless Connection, select properties, click on the Advance tab and then check "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection"

While you are on this screen Click on "Learn more about Interner connection sharing" fo more help.

NOTE: If you wire the two computers together directly, you will need a cat5 crossover cable.

Line of sight means catching signals of a wireless network with the help of antenna. It is also necessary to connect to the network of long range.

Try connecting your both computers with a straight cable and do the IP configuring for the local area networking. If you still don't get the signals than it means the network is not allowing you to connect two computers to that network. Than you have to buy a new adapter for the 2nd computer to catch signals directly.

there are different ways for doing this, first for a wired connection he will need to use a second network interface on the first computer, link the second computer with the first computer, using 1st computers second interface and second computer's first. on second computer use default gateway, as the ip address of the first computer, should work.

second could be to use a wireless access point otherwise known as a hot spot, put wireless interfaces on both computers and use wireless connections
