I'm trying to run the 12 volt amp cable from the front to the back of the car but i cant find a good place to run the cable through the fire wall

Look to see where the tail light wires are running and try to place the amp wires along with them. There will be a place in the fire wall where those wires are routed through and go all the way to the trunk.

To the left and up a little from where the steering wheel meets the front wall, there is a diamond shaped cut out in the black covering. Pull this out and then drill a whole through there. Don't worry, there's nothing on the other side, the diamond is there for this exact reason.
For getting it into the trunk I lifted the rear seats and pulled up the carpet in the trunk. By shining a light in the trunk I saw that there was a gab in the corner by the door. Plenty of space to route cables!
