I really do not think you should just give your dog away. This will cause great stress to her, and she could land up in the wrong hands.

You should go to a local animal shelter, and tell them of your predicament, and ask them what to do, because you do not want to abandon the dog. They are in a better position to find a suitable home for her.
They will probably ask you to sign the dog over to them.

They may ask why you took her on in the first place, if you were not committed, and you can explain that your living conditions have changed. Please do the responsible thing for your dog, she deserves at least this.

Unfortunately she was bred to fight, and maybe (I do not know her history) was taught to fight ,which is exactly why this breed are not accepted by shelters to put out for adoption. The animal authorities know that the likelihood will be, that she will fall into the wrong hands again, and in the end land up with some criminal in the future, who will use her to raise money for him dog fighting. This is a very ugly truth in our society today, that young people and teenagers want these dogs to fight in a pit so they can get money from gambling.
I do not know the history of your dog, but as a lifelong lover of both Staffordshire terriers and bull terriers, ( a pit bull is a cross of the American Staffordshire and bull terrier), I can tell you, that I would rather put my dog to sleep, as these people have suggested, than watch her suffer at the hands of some cruel future owner. So because these are one people dogs, and do not adjust well to being shoved from home to home.
I suggest that you re-home your other dog, who may be easier to adopt out, or live with them together.

The pitt was just 6 months old when my son left her with us. I know that he will just use the dog for fighting as you said. She gets along with the other dogs all except at feeding time or toys or attention invoked. She is very loving. They all play together any other time and they all sleep close together. As a matter of fact the pitt will lay on top of the german sheppard and sleep and she is always licking their faces/she is now 14 months old.

I think that you should look at why the dogs fight and try and remove the causes rather than re-home either dog. It would be cruel to re-home your other pet. We can't just dispose of animals on a whim.
You sound very caring and responsible. The pitt bull might end up in a miserable environment if your son is allowed to use her for fighting which as we all know is a dreadful thing to do and I hope you would report your son if you suspected he was using any dog for fighting. I wouldn't think twice about reporting mine if he did something so cruel.
One solution is to remove the dogs to different rooms at feeding time- it works very well. You can also remove their toys. I know dogs love toys but better no toys than having to loose one of the dogs.
It seems even more sad to remove the dog as she's loving and settled and it doesn't bare thinking about if she got into the wrong hands. If she can't live with you then better to put her to sleep than subject her to the dreadful fate of a life of fighting and abuse.
I hope you can find a solution to this very sad problem .
