Historically, People used Chinese alligators for medicine purpose. For example for treating the problems of gall bladder.
Now the scientists have been researching on utilizing alligators' high immunity and extraordinary ability to recognize pesticides, fertilizers and many pollutants, for the welfare of human beings. They are hoping to develop a complete new range of antibacterial and antiviral drugs by using alligator's genome. But if many peptides from alligator's blood are useful in killing germs in experiments, its blood still can not be injected in humans. It might prove fatal. But scientists are doing their best to come up with medicines using alligator's blood/genome/immunity system.
