Why is it that the most popular culture of being evil is the most remembered? Such as real witches in real life are not evil. Can't we Broaden our children's perception in this day and age? To what is real moral reasoning through folklore?

Just tell them not to believe something as stupid as superstition! To do this first you have to educate them. Only the uneducated ones believe in such things as superstitions.

Folklore was a way to pass down traditions and local stories, the early church in order to make people convert to christianity rewrote these stories to make bad every thing they decided was against their religion.
