Is There A Cranberry Pill For Kittens?
Is there a cranberry pill for kittens? I have a 3 month old kitten that I have raised since she was just hours old. She strains so hard, passes urine and blood and sometimes just blood. She has been to the vet every week since she was born. She has had X rays - no stones. She has had so many different kinds of antibiotics. The vet plans to do a biopsy on her bladder in a couple of months when they spay her. I was hoping to try something with cranberry juice to see if it would help her.

Cranberry pills and capsules are sold in health-food stores and pharmacies. One brand is marketed as a convenient way to get the benefits of cranberry juice "without the unnecessary, and nutritionally harmful, calories." The pills are purported to prevent or treat UTIs. Calculate weight of person and dosage and reduce for kitten, but do keep Vets appointments.
