What Are The Causes Of Suicide?

In my case, I am battling anorexia nervosa, I always see myself as fat.  Because of this, it drives me so crazy that I've thought about suicide.  Obviously I've never killed myself but I do know of people who have killed themselves because eating disorders that drove them crazy.

People who do try or do kill them self are , in a great depression and don't know how or have lost the want to , to reach out to someone .

There are many reasons though no causes ,

There isn't a cause to it, but rather REASONS that people do this. It isn't something that people choose lightly either, they are in a state of mind that isn't right, and they do deliberate their actions. Depression is one of the main reasons, and so are there other reasons. There isn't a cause. Hope this helps.

There could be several causes for committing suicide.  The reasons that immediately come to my mind are the following:

1.  In case of extreme depression. When people get depressed due to some problems which they feel cannot be solved, they could commit suicide.
2.  Financial loss which is huge sometimes drives people to suicide, some people make losses in gambling, horse racing, share market, at casinos  etc and then they cannot pay up what they owe which may cause them to do the cowardly act of running away from the problem and committing suicide.
3. Another cause is having a very weak mind, people who are not strong and cannot face up to adverse circumstances commit suicide.  They feel they cannot fight a problem and to run away from the problem they commit this action.
4.  Sometimes very famous personalities, like rock stars, film stars, great musicians, scientists are known to be suicidal.  When their fame starts becoming less they feel unwanted and may commit suicide.

5.  Doing badly in exams, falling in the eyes of your parents, loved ones, drives people to suicide.

6.  Failure of any kind may also be the cause
