What Is Virtual Reality?

Virtual reality is the field of computer science in which the artificial environment is created. This artificial environment is almost similar to the real environment. Virtual reality is used very commonly in the modern days of computer science. Virtual reality games, simulators are available. This environment is 3-D and sometimes special accessories are also required to use the virtual reality software.

The most successful of use virtual reality is the computer generated 3-D simulators. The pilots use flight simulators. These flight simulators have designed just like cockpit of the airplane or the helicopter. The screen in front of the pilot creates virtual environment and the trainers outside the simulators commands the simulator for adopt different modes. The pilots are trained to control the planes in different difficult situations and emergency landing. The simulator provides the environment. These simulators cost millions of dollars.

The virtual reality games are also used almost in the same fashion. The player has to wear special gloves, headphones, goggles, full body wearing and special sensory input devices. The player feels that he is in the real environment. The special goggles have monitors to see. The environment changes according to the moments of the player.  These games are very expensive.

VIRTUAL REALITY: The virtual reality is a kind of computer program in which the user interacts with simulation, and that simulation could be any of the imagnisations e.g. we have simulated aircrafts, games etc. let us take the example of simulated aircraft the user have such kind of environment as he is flying the aircraft for real, in simulated aircraft the user can make its own moves or can move to any direction by grasping and manipulating simulated objects.

Though there is a very huge difference between simulated and real life objects but one can have better idea how a specific thing actually works. In virtual reality computer graphics play a very important and significant role i.e. because the simulation must generate such view in no time to make the simulation closer to the reality. The hardware used in virtual reality the "Tracker" is the most important input device for virtual reality programs, which is capable of reporting its location, secondly one can use it with the traditional computer devices like mouse, joysticks etc.

Now we also have "Data Glove" and are connected to the sensors to give more realistic tough. The virtual reality can provide best results to train the employees for the equipments of high cost or to train someone how to work in unstable environment? It can also be used for a product prototype. And now a day the virtual reality is also very much active in experiencing imaginary world and also widely used in games.
