How Can I Get A Fair Price When Trying To Sell Gold Bullion Coins?

I was offered $835 for a $890 priced coin. What percentage can I expect to pay for selling vs. Buying price? What is the best kind of place to sell coins, a coin dealer?

Check with a coin dealer in your area maybe they can suggest something or get online research or go to your local library and get books about coins and what it is worth when selling or buying coins

Emphasis on "gold bullion" and discount the fact that it is a coin. Contact a precious metals dealer and get your worth of the coin according to its weight in gold. This varies according to the New York or London Spot Gold Exchanges on a daily basis.

SHOP & COMPARE. Most bullion companies that are competitive post both their buy and sell on bullion coins. Use google, yahoo search, etc etc to find companies, or pull out the yellow pages so you can shop & compare locally.

Do your online research!  Make sure the online gold buying company offers a money back guarantee, insures your shipment, will process your gold payment quickly, published their payouts daily, has a customer service team that will answer your phone calls, and guarantees no hidden fees. There are good companies out there, but in this industry in particular there are many that are not.
