Dead Sea is basically like a salt lake that is situated between Israel and Jordan. The average depth of Dead Sea is 118 meters or 387 feet but the deepest point of the Sea is as deep as 378 meters or 1,240 feet. Incidentally, the shores of Dead Sea are also believed to be the lowest points above sea level. Its length is 67 kilometers or 42 miles while its width is just 18 kilometers or 11 miles.
