How Big Should My Belly Be At 10 Weeks Pregnant?

Answer Question

10 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

All women, of course, differ in size. Similarly, at the time of pregnancy, the growth of their body and their stomach will differ too. The stomach simply grows in proportion to the body frame, and according to how much space the foetus needs to grow. The growth of the belly depends on different factors, such as the original size of the body, the size of the foetus, the growth rate of the foetus, the body's adaptation to hormonal changes, etc. all these factors are different in different women, hence their body shape and size of the stomach also varies at the time of pregnancy.

An alarming growth of your belly is really nothing to worry about; it simply means that your body is making the necessary space to accommodate the growing foetus. However, if you feel that your belly size is not normal, then it would be advisable to consult your gynaecologist.

I seem to be showing quite a bit already - I'm 10 weeks exactly!

Usually around ten weeks you do not show at all unless your are carrying multiple births. But there are many diagrams via the internet that can show you models. Congrats on the baby.

It may be slightly visible but with most it will not be noticed at 10 weeks.

Your uterus is the size of a grapefruit at 10 weeks and your belly might be expanding to make room.  Pants might be getting harder to button.  Bloating and constipation will not help this process either... You may feel a lot bigger than you really are!
