According to film analysts it is believed that the sales of Hollywood are expected to climb up to almost $10 billion this year. If that figure will be attained it will be an all-time record, despite the fact that ticket prices have risen in the last few years. Although people are considering pay-per-view, streaming media and DVDs as an alternate to movie experience in the cinema, they are also keeping up their attendance in the cinema as there is no better alternative for an evening out.

During last year, the U.S. box office expanded to 5.5% to $9.5 billion, reversing a downtrend. This year, experts are expecting it to mount 5.2% to $9.98 billion, beating the record $9.54 billion recoded in 2004.

In addition to that the cost of the movie ticket might increase about 50 cents as compared to movie ticket price of 2004, analyzing from new trends, and it does not look as though this price increase of the movie films will stop people from going into the cinema and will keep them away from contributing to increasing sales of upcoming films in 2007.
