    List your income.
    List your expenses.

    Make sure your income is greater than your expenses.

    Include a savings plan.

    Include ALL expenses: Entertainment, groceries, gasoline, bus fare, etc.

    Do a search on Microsoft's website for Excel files that can help with creating a budget.

      List all of your monthly bills, write down the amount of the bill and the address to where each payment should be sent, also write down the due dates if needed.
      Follow the same cycle each month for payments.
      It is easier to pay with checks. Money-orders also are convenient ways of paying a bill.
