How Can I Stop The GIANT Text Box From Appearing In Word?
In older versions of Word all I did was click on Text Box in the Drawing toolbar and create a box the size I wanted. Now when I click on Text Box a GIANT box appears blocking my view of where I was. How can I avoid this nuisance?

U cant really but if u type in what u want then move your cursor to the top left of the box a funny little four way arrow will appear drag that down u create a box the size u want.

Hi Heva: I tried with little success. In fact I end up with another box inside the big box.
BUT! I tried something new and I may have fixed the issue. When I click on the "Text Box" icon (and the giant box appears) I just hit the DELETE key and the box disappears---but leaves me in the drawing mode to create my own square. See if it works for you.
