    The Arctic Circle is known to most people as the spot where the sun
    never sets on June 21, the summer solstice, and the spot where the sun
    never rises on December 21, the winter solstice. Actually, the Arctic
    Circle location varies by 2.5 degrees of latitude on a 40,000 year
    cycle. Currently the location is moving northward about 25 feet a year.
    The parallel of latitude approximately 66°33′ north. It forms the boundary between the North Temperate and North Frigid zones.
