You have to hook the hose to a water supply in your house, usually from the sink plumbing. The hardware store has adapter to hook the line up and the hose runs from the fresh water supply to the fridge.

A water and ice dispensable fridge is convenient, and the hose hook-ups are almost always in the back- lower portion of the fridge. If it is not here, check with your owners manual for exact location.
