Can You Discuss The Role Of Technology In The Development Of Agriculture?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Agriculture like all other industries has been affected by the technological changes. Agriculture in its earliest form was done by humans themselves form ploughing the land to sowing, caring for the plants and then finally harvesting the crop. After that bullocks were used for ploughing. Today, none of this happens; we have tractors and harvesters, pesticides and pesticide machines, well maintained go downs, fertilizers and trucks for distribution. Everything has been mechanized and this has happened because of technology. Because of this we have been able to be more efficient and less labor intensive. Genetic engineering of plants is also another addition to this and now we are able to yield more from the same piece of land. Even electronic exchanges have been established where the price is communicated.
