Stourbridge is a town placed in West Midlands in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, England. It lies to the south west of Birmingham but was formerly in Worcestershire. The nearby towns include Halesowen, Dudley, Birmingham, Bridgnorth, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton and Bromsgrove.

The name Stourbridge has been derived from the River Stour which meanders through the township between Worcestershire and Staffordshire. It is linked by the Stourbridge Canal and Worcestershire Canal. A belt of green land encompasses the city which has its proximity to the country side of Shropshire. Farm lands like Clent Hills and Kinver Edge are to the south and west of Stourbridge respectively. It has population of about 54,661 people consisting of the commuters to Birmingham and the Black Country which still hold on to that region's dialect and accent.
