What Do I Do About My Pony's Ears?
Every summer, one of my ponies gets patches of white scabs inside his ears which irritate him so much that he rubs them hard enough to create sores on the outsides of his ears. Ringworm has been ruled out because he gets the patches specifically in his ears and not on any other part of his body, plus my other pony doesn't suffer with this condition. It may be a type of midge, which would make sense because he has an allergic reaction to fly bites and the other pony doesn't. Any ideas on how to treat this?

The white patches on the inner side of the ear of you dog can be due to eczema, allergic reactions or mites. These problems cause itch and dog tries to scab it resulting in hair loss in ear and tear of ears. It will be good to visit a vet for proper treatment of ear itch of your dog.
