    The most common cause of sports injury is the lack of a warm-up before a sports event. This generally results in tremendous pressure and strain on your muscles when you're actually in the middle of the activity. A warm up relaxes the muscles, makes them less stiff and improves flexibility thus enhancing performance. This can get worsened if the muscles are being used for a relatively long time.
    The other causes of sports injuries are the improper use of equipment which can lead to one straining and stressing one's body out unnecessarily. Lastly, each sport comes with a set of precautions. No matter how experienced a sportsperson you are it is essential that he/she takes care of his body in every single training session in order to minimise the risk of injury.
