No scientific evidence has been produced which can state that it is possible to read someone else's mind and therefore it should safely be assumed that it is not.
Some people purport to be able to do this, but sceptics suggest that they can 'trick' the person into thinking a certain thing, through very subtle psychological 'feeders'.
These feeders may even be on a subconscious level and so the person whose mind is being read is not even aware of them. For example, if most people think of blue when talking about the sky, the mindreader may very subtly suggest something to do with the sky. This gets the person to think of blue and then the mindreader can shout 'You are thinking of the colour blue'.
Errol Brown the 'illusionist' is very skilled at this type of feeding and he makes no pretence that he is psychic, but rather just very good at psychology.
