About Sweeney Todd.....how True Is It
I have an interest in the play Sweeney Todd....some say the story is true, others not. Have researched it, still do not have a clear answer as to how close the play is to the truth. Any one know?

There is no proven existence of Sweeney Todd as a real person. I think as he was supposed to have been tried at the Old Bailey and hanged at Tyburn, if he was real, there would be records of his crimes, trial etc.
