    What Kind Of Baby Snake Is 5-6" Long, Has Black Spots Resembling Pepper, And Can Climb? When Approached, It Coils And Hisses. And Is Located In The Tulsa Area.

    I would like to know if someone can identify the type of snake I described and if they could tell me what it feeds on and what about its habitat?

    It is tough to identify a snake without a good photo but if I had to guess it might be a speckled kingsnake.  Due to the speckled pattern they have the nickname "salt and pepper snake."  That would mesh with your pepper like spots description.  Try googling it and see if it looks like what you have got.  Babies eat smaller snakes and tiny lizards.
     
    Might also be a black rat snake.  They are known to climb trees.  Check that one out as well!
