What Does The Word Graft Mean?

    The word 'graft is used as a noun for a piece of plant that is cut from a living plant and then fixed in such a way to make another independent plant out of it. The word can also be used for the process to make such kind of plant.

    Sometimes the word can also be used for the same treatment that can be done to an animal or a human being. It human beings it is usually a piece of skin or bone that is being grafted in an area which is damaged and the skin is being taken from a healthy part of your body.

    In some parts of the world, especially in Britain, the word also signifies the hard work of a person, but in America the word has another contrasting meaning and it signifies the use of illegal means to get a work done.
