What Does House Mean?

A house is very well known as a structure which can be used for human habitation, a house normally consists of walls and a roof. A house is used as a structure which gives shelter to the living humans inside. A house provides living beings as shelter from rain, storm, excessive heat and cold. The word house can also be used for the reference of a building that can shelter animals, for example a 'Zoo'. The basic purpose of a house is to provide shelter over ones head, however as the years have passed by, the word house has become a way displaying ones wealth, large houses, are known as 'Great Houses'.
