When And Where Are The National Rounds On The BMX Events Calendar For This Year In Britain?

Answer Question

The summer National Series get underway THIS WEEKEND -- woohoo!  Catch the first Round at Cheddar, Somerset (near Bristol) this Saturday, the 5th of May.

As usually, registration closes by 11am -- well, that's what they say.  Regional events are never run that tight -- they let you register until 11:30 at least, in my experience.  But I wouldn't want to chance it at a national event, so I assume if they say registration closes at 11am, they actually mean it.  With practice on the gates until 12, and races starting at 12:30, at least that's what the schedule says.

And don't expect to crawl out of there on your sore bottom before 3:30pm, and that's only if it's a wash-out and the field is unusually small.

Round 2: Also at South Cheddar, 7th May (so one day's rest!).

South Bournemouth holds the next two Rounds of the National Series, on the next Bank holiday weekend, naturally: 26th and 28th May.

    Round 5: Peterborough, 16 June.
    Round 6: Chorley, 30 June.
    Round 7: Wales, 11 Aug.
