How Does A DC Welding Generator Work?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A DC welding generator is a welding generator that works on direct current (DC) instead of alternate current (AC). There are a lot of benefits of using this kind of welding generators besides the most common, the option of portability.

Other working modes vary from brand to brand. If we take the example of Zena welders that works on direct current, we find that following benefits are there in this brand: The direct current increases the ability of the welding arc and also allows the operator to get excellent welding result with both of the welding arc; shorter than normal and longer than normal. If the welder is inexperienced, he finds it quite easy to operate and with much better result than with conventional welder. With the use of this one can also create an X-ray quality weld.
