Is One Life More Valuable Or Important Than Another?

If six people have the same disease and there's only enough medication to save one, Would it matter which one received it? How about a commanding officer vs. An infant?

I don't really feel that ones life is more important than another.  If this were the case I would suggest the person who is less sick that has the best chances at surviving.  If everyone is the same then I would suggest the infant should be saved as long as there was someone able to take care of the infant after.  Because the infant has not had a chance to live and everyone else has.  And the infants life span is most likely longer then the others.  However, there are other factors involved also I am sure.  Such as if there was a waiting list like a donor list.  On whom got sick first, etc.  Good question.  That is what I think about it.

Wow-You are "Thorough" BOY that's a hard word to spell). I like the 'most likely to survive' option. I remember asking my Dad why they draft kids out of high school, risking their lives, instead of more mature individuals to go to war. He said "Because in most cases they don't have children, are married, or jobs that would interfere" I can see a basis for a commanding officer or person of high 'status' only because they have the resources to possibly save more lives. Tough one.
