My Cat Is An Indoor Cat. We Are Living In An Empty House For Three Weeks Now While We Move. He Has Stopped Eating His Food For Almost A Week. I Am Trying Different Foods With Little Luck. What Should I Do?

So my cat seems to have stopped eating, and he drinks only a minimal bit of milk if any. We are about to go on a prolonged road trip as we move, and I am worried this will stress him further/too much. Any ideas on ways to get him to eat or is not eating/drinking a sign of a bigger problem?

Sounds like the angel is stressed, moving can be a big ordeal for pets. Try to minimize the cats stress keeping him company in a quet room and encouraging his regular activities, but if your buddy doesn't start eating and drinking soon go to the vet or at least call one for advice.

Basically like everyone is saying Changes upset a cat just as much as they may upset a child that is having to switch from one school to a different one.  Try something different add a little spice like put a little tuna juice over his/her  dry food in a separate container .  Or maybe even mix a little wet food with her/his hard food.  My cat was spayed about a month ago and was not eating at all really so i called the vet they said to do stuff like this soon she will go right back to her/himself.  Good Luck

Cats don't like change, she is distressed, try to comfort her as much as you can to reassure her you're still there, there has never been a cat that died from starvation when food is available, continue to offer her the same food she has always had, hopefully you'll be settled in soon and she will settle down, good luck hun

It could be that the kitty is getting stressed out over this, and is suffering with appetite loss. I hope the move is done soon, for the kitty's sake.

the disruption in his life may have caused his problems, take him to the vet, and maybe see about a tranquilizer for the road trip- it really helps.
