Genetics could tell you everything that it is possible to know about your family, and more than we can conceive. Science has made giant leaps forward in the area of Genetics.

It has also met with some critics, who fear that if this information was to become more readily available it could lead to discrimination. Employers could get access to it, for example.

At present, Dna testiing is used to aid criminal investigation and prosecution, this has revolutionised the rate of solved major crime. Yet the cost factor is also a factor in this situation.

Another area were DNA is presently used is proving whether a man is actually the father of the child.
As science finds new ways to make this testing more available it will become more commonplace in all our lives.
