The substances that contain carbon, hydrogen and usually nitrogen, sulfur, and oxygen are called organic compounds. These can either occur naturally or can be synthesized. But it is not the same as a natural material. Rather it is based on carbon. Most of the natural and synthetic materials are organic. Other than that drugs, fuel, and plastic bags are also organic.
Some of the examples of organic compounds are acetic acid, citric acid, etc. The natural organics include sugar, alkaloids, terpenoids, Vitamin B12 and others.
