What Is The Aim Of The Game 'Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life'?

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is a role playing game where you take control of a character (you can name the character – most players tend to use the name Jack), and build life on a farm.

Your character is introduced to his father's farm by a farmer named Takakura. The aim of the game is to take up ownership of your deceased father's farm. You raise crops and animals, find a wife, raise a child and make friends with the villagers.

You start off with a small house, which expands as the years go on. You can influence your child's career by giving him gifts from the other villagers. When you start out, you will need to purchase seeds from Vesta, a woman who owns a farm not far from yours.

Once you have a selection of crops, you can befriend Daryll the scientist to obtain the seedmaker, which you can use to duplicate your crops so that you don't need to purchase anymore seeds from Vesta. The game is divided up into chapters, and the first chapter is spent with you choosing a wife. You can create hybrid crops, which sell for a bigger price, and expand your farm.

Another version of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life was released in 2005 entitled Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life, in which the main character was a female instead. This was so that the game would appeal to females rather than males.
