How Do You Know If The Information That You Find From A Source Is Valid?

Answer Question

Another good question.  You want to know how to find if the information you have found from an internet source is valid.

I would say the best way to check is to check additional sources.

If you go to wikipedia and the article says World War 2 never happened or something suspicious like this, check out the websites that are listed as sources.  Are they fair and neutral, or are they biased?  Do they have an agenda of some sort?

It is easier with math and science and computer information.  Either it is true or false.  You can double check any google source by checking on wikipedia or www.howstuffworks.com, which is good for computer questions.

It's harder with information on history, religion, opinions, arts, things like this.  The best thing to do is get more than one source, from completely different locations and authors, for any serious opinion.  When I say "completely different locations," I mean do a google search and use 2 or 3 completely unrelated websites.

That is a good way to make sure the information is valid.
