My brand new rug was schotch gaurded. One month later powerade was spilt. It has now been 2 months and I have tried one professional carpet cleaner and the stain still remains.

When it comes to getting juice stains out of rugs, many people recommend using a paste made of lemon juice and salt. Soak the stain with the solution and blot dry. Alternatively, vinegar can be used for many stains though it may not be suitable for use on an oriental rug.
