What Does The Universe Contain?

Answer Question

The universe contains anything and everything – literally! From every human being to the most distant stars, it is contained within the universe. It is everything that exists and occupies an unimaginable vast area. Distances in space are so immense that light from the furthest galaxies takes over 10 billion light years to reach the Earth, even though light travels fast enough to go round the Earth several times every second!
Amazing isn't it! Everything that you see in the night sky lies in our Universe, from the sun to the far off gas clouds. How did this Universe begin you might well ask. Well no one is really sure, but most scientist believe that it was born out of a massive explosion, (often referred to as the Big Bang) some 13 million years ago. This explosion is said to have been the point where space, time and life, came into existence. And who are we to argue? Without the Big bang and the Universe, I wouldn't be here to tell you about it and you wouldn't be here to learn about it – pretty cool huh?

Most of the Mass in our universe is actually dark matter it takes about 99.1% of the universe's mass, the rest goes right down to the core elements that make up everything else.
