My Cat Is Very Limp And Is Not Feeding Off Its Mother. What Is Wrong?
It is a 2-week old kitten and seems to be jerking every now and again. She does not want to eat anything and is very restless. One minute she will be sleeping and the next jerking. What is wrong?

Vicki1209,
Take your kitten to a veterinarian IMMEDIATELY. Kittens do not have a lot of reserve when they get sick. Hypoglycemia (which can cause neurologic signs and seizures), hypothermia, and dehydration are 3 big concerns with kittens and happen very fast. Your veterinarian will administer appropriate therapy. If the kitten continues not to nurse you will have to feed it kitten milk replacer every few hours and stimulate it to defecate after eating (until the kitten is able to defecate on it's own)

I wonder if it isn't having seizures. I strongly recommend that you take it to the vet right away, and don't dally about it, in some cases, it can cause death. Hope this helps, good luck.
