Can A Cat And Bunny Catch Parvo? We Found Out Yesterday, That Our Puppy Might Have Parvo.

We had to take our puppy to the Vet.. Yesterday, and they ran some test on her. The test has not come back yet, but she has some of the symptoms for parvo. We also have a cat, and my girls have a new bunny rabbit. I was wondering if a cat, and a bunny rabbit, could become infected too?

Parvo virus can affect not only puppies but also cats, lions, tiggers and also human but the parvovirus of all these animals are different. The parvovirus of dog can not cause any problem in other animals. The parvovirus of human is called Parvo virus B19 which cause infection in human. So your bunny and cat are safe from the parvo of your puppy but they can get different species of parvo.
