What Is The Design Structure Of Ground To Play The Curling?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

On the leaf, a 12-foot (3.7 m) wide position of concentric rings, called the home, is painted close to each end of the rink. The centre of the house is noticeable by the connection of two lines so as to divide the house into quarters and is recognized as the button. The two appearances are the centre line, which is strained lengthwise down the center of the sheet, in addition to the tee line, drawn 16 feet (4.9 m) on or after the backboard and parallel to it. Two extra lines, the hog lines, are drawn parallel to every backboard with 37 feet (11.3 m) from it.

The rings so as to surround the button are distinct by their diameter because the four-foot, eight-foot, plus twelve-foot rings. They are more often than not distinguished by color. The inner rings are just a visual aid for judging which stone is earlier to the centre; they do not involve scoring; however, a stone that is not at smallest amount touching the outside of the 12-foot hoop (i.e. more than 6 feet from the centre) is not in the house with as a result does not score.
