bruises, scratches to wrists feet and other body parts.
Being secretive. moodiness. pill popping, recreational drugs. excessive tatooing, agressiveness etc are all parts and signs to be aware of if someone is self harming. I was in a mental hospital for self harming and I was put on antidepressants and they have helped. Self harm is not a disease or an illness its a lack of being able to deal with your issues. I was told that some people are born more sensitive than others and when people self harm its because they want to stop the hurt on the inside so what they do is physically hurt themselves to take that pain away. There is heaps of information on the internet about self harm and also your nearest health clinic would have information on self harm its more common than people think, the people who do self harm can be very secretive about it and conceal it very well. Do not be afraid to speak to someone about it. There is help. Self harm could also turn into an attempt of suicide. or suicidal thoughts. So you or that person should seek help, don't be ashamed.
