Yes it is better. You get a great gaming console plus a Blu-ray player.I bought a 60G when they first came out a later bought a 250G laptop hard drive and was able to put it in my PS3.I've never had any problems with The Red Ring of Death on my PS3 either.

PS3 all the way. Iv gone through so many xbox360s. They have THE worst hard drive problems. PS3 you get what you pay for! The blue ray is a plus but the best part to me is that you DONT have to play for online usage. 360 charges you monthly to play you games online. Its ridiculous.
